Advertising and editorial disclosures

EveryMaid is free to use and paid for by advertising. No cleaning company pays to be listed, to rank higher, or to have a competitor removed. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed here first and labelled on the page where it happens.

How the site makes money

Display advertising, served by Google AdSense. Every ad unit is labelled “Advertisement” directly above it. Ads are chosen by Google, not by us, and we do not know in advance which advertiser will appear next to which listing.

We earn nothing when you contact a company from this site. There is no affiliate link, no referral fee, no lead sale, and no commission. Every listing links to the company’s own phone number and website, and the transaction happens entirely between you and them.

What ordering is based on

Results are ordered by whichever sort you pick. The default, “Best match”, ranks on how recently a person verified the listing, how complete the record is, and hard trust signals such as insurance and whether the company files a certificate of insurance with buildings. It has no commercial input.

There is deliberately no sort by rating that blends sources into one score, and no “featured” or “sponsored” tier in the results.

How companies get listed

We find companies through public research and compile each listing from the company’s own website. Nobody applies and nobody pays. A person reviews every listing before it publishes, and each one shows when it was last checked.

Inclusion is not an endorsement. We have not used these companies, we do not inspect their work, and we do not verify their insurance beyond recording what they publish about it.

Ratings

Google ratings shown on listings are fetched from Google, refreshed daily, and credited to Google. We do not host reviews, we cannot edit them, and we never combine rating sources into a single score. A company cannot pay us to change, hide, or feature its rating.

Corrections

Listings are compiled from public sources and will sometimes be wrong. When we are told about an error we fix it, and when a business owner asks for removal we remove it, without needing a reason. Use the contact form.

Guides

The guides are written in house and carry no sponsorship. Prices quoted in them are ranges observed across the directory and the wider market, not quotes from any one company, and they go stale. Each guide shows when it was last updated.
